Dunes Bible Camp Lifestyle Agreement

The Dunes Bible Camp is dedicated to sharing the Gospel to the youth who don’t know it. We desire to honor God through loving service of our campers. We recognized that our expectations of behavior may be different from behavioral expectations of today’s society.  As a camp striving to follow the Lord and treat one another with Christian love, we ask you to commit with us to the following statement of conduct.

1. Godly Behavior. We encourage all Dunes staff members to behave in a godly manner. This would include the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control) and to pursue godly actions such as righteousness, justice, mercy, forgiveness, humility and honesty (Galatians 5:22-24; Philippians 2:2-3; Romans 12:1-2).

2. Scriptural Sins. Attitudes and behaviors specifically prescribed or forbidden by Scripture shall guide the conduct of all Dunes staff members (Galatians 5:19-22). We desire our staff to be free from any current sin issue that could hinder your Christ-like example to campers such as: drug and alcohol abuse, pornography, sexual activity outside of a heterosexual marriage, theft, “sins of the tongue” (profanity, vulgarity, slander and gossip), dishonesty in any form, and illegal activities, and to refrain from the use of mind-altering substances (such as marijuana, etc.).

3. Harassment and Discrimination. Dunes does not condone any form of harassment, whether verbal, physical, or sexual. Discrimination based on race, national origin, sex or handicap will not be tolerated.

4. Modesty. Standards of dress and adornment should be dictated by modesty, decency and appropriateness. Our personal goals should reflect the desire to dress so as not to draw another person into sin.
