By partnering with us for a programmed camp, your group will experience a fully planned and Christ-centered retreat, while building connections with other churches and campers. This page includes everything you need to know to prepare for a successful camp experience as a partner church.
General Information
Why Partner with Dunes Bible Camp?
Our mission is to help youth know and love God and others in a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environment.
We can do it better together: by combining our staff and resources, we can provide better camp and retreat experiences when working together. Maybe you have a great drummer, but not a full band… or a craft lady, but no nurse. We fill our various roles around camp with volunteers from churches around the greater Northwest, functioning as a united body of Christ coming together for the mission of reaching youth with the gospel.
Partnering with churches allows us to extend this mission while creating long-term connections and discipleship between campers and their leaders. When youth leaders don’t have to focus all their time and energy on programming, it allows them to invest more into their own youth while at camp. Based on feedback, this is possibly the top reason we get so many churches returning each year to join us.
The Cost: Dunes has one of the lowest camper costs you can find for the length of our camps and on top of that… leaders are FREE! By partnering with us, you are joining our Dunes team and we do not charge volunteers for coming to help minister. This applies to all counselors and leaders in various roles. Note: these are specific roles Dunes is looking to fill, and must be communicated and confirmed ahead of time.
What We Provide:
Food: Three all-you-can-eat meals per day, plus snacks.
All camp programming: speakers, worship, games, crafts & activities, including supplies.
Housing accommodations for leaders and campers.
Clear policies and training to ensure safety and an excellent experience for all participants.
What We Need From You:
Application (see below): All church staff and volunteers must complete the Church Partner Application on our website.
Background Check Authorization Forms (below): Dunes will perform its own checks, regardless of any previously completed by your church.
Attendance at Staff Training: Counselors and leaders must attend the mandatory staff training held on the first morning of camp. Transportation logistics should ensure your group is covered.
Recruitment: Partner Churches are responsible for recruiting enough counselors to supervise their own students. Other roles may be requested, but are not required. Recruiting extra counselors is often very helpful/welcome. All roles/leaders planning to come with your church should be communicated well in advance of camp. We want everyone attending to have an assigned role and purpose while at camp.
Special Needs Coordination: Please inform us of any special needs well in advance. Additional staffing may be required.
Rules Compliance: All leaders must review and agree to follow our Camp Rules and Guidelines as well as our Lifestyle Agreement (see below).
